TessaLina's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first experience was in South Carolina in 2017. My clients where hard working middle class and we’re very pleased with the service I provided.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I do miss it, because it was very satisfying not only for my clients but for me as well.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes, because I know the muscular aspect of the body, and I know where the tense muscles are and how to relax them.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I am Transitioning from M2W and I am trying to establish myself as a successful TS Masseur, base on my experience, it has been the only carrier path that allows me to work and be who I am.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
It is very important for me to satisfy the customer needs. In order for me to that, I have to ask a few questions before beginning, sometimes muscle pain could be created do to dehydration and not to muscle tension. Once I get the answers I can explain and inform the customer the type of massage I recommend, some times is needed to perform deep tissue massage and some other times a relaxing, sensual massage can help with their levels of stress, an important aspect of massaging the body is to know that mind and body are connected and that is how I can figure why the client needs. Allowing the body to relax creates a pleasurable environment for the mind…allowing them to feel comfortable and relaxed…Sensual and exotic massages allows men to let go of frustrations and weight that pressures their physiological state of mind…. Men enjoy being touch, all that is needed to know is how I am going to touch them to get the best result of relaxation for them.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I love music, including natural sound, it is the preference of music to help relax my clients…. For my time at home I enjoy playing the music I listened and dance when I was young, such as underground house, reggae, some hip hop, and most recently Spanish Reggae-ton. I also enjoy Italian contemporary music.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I became a Masseur because I realized how important the it was to help men and women with intense life styles (work, home, family) and any other type of responsibilities that blocks the fluidity of their life…
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
To first understand how the body works and also to be a good listener. My clients would begin a session by talking about how much ch pressure the felt in the común day, and by the end of the session they would’ve completely quiet… then I knew I had done the rightkind of massage.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
Nothing….everyone has their own style and experience, criticizing other with out knowing them is not my cup of tea. Lol!
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
If I become successful Masseur and I can support myself with that position it could turn to be my permanent career.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I prefer to travel…
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I believe that every career path requieres education… a Masseur cannot become successful with acquiring and education as a Massage Therapist.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
As I mentioned before, my goal is to know how to provide the customer with the best possible, not only massage but environment for them to know that they can come back at anytime and if I’m successful at it they will leave with a satisfactory experience .
